Kuwait’s Amiri Guards participated in the joint Shields of Al-Nashama 2 military exercise for security and protection in Jordan. Army’s Chief of General Staff said in a press release that the exercises included shooting from different types of weapons, protection operations, storming and evacuating buildings, and using motorcade vehicles and helicopters to evacuate prominent personalities in danger.
At the end of the exercise, attendees praised the participants for their top combat performance. They commended the efforts to ensure maximum readiness, noting certificates and memorial shields were awarded to the participants. Major General Hamad Al-Saleh, commander of the Kuwaiti Amiri Guard; General Abdullah Shdeifat, assistant for operations and training for the Arab Army; and Colonel Hamad Al-Jaafrah, commander of the Kuwaiti Royal Guard, attended the drill.
