The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) stated recently that it was hopeful the government’s decision to ease COVID-19 restrictions would help enable tourism to grow. JTB Managing Director Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat wrote a letter following the government’s announcement to “friends and partners” in which he explained how the new measures would ease access for travelers planning their trips to Jordan.
Beginning March 1, travelers to Jordan will no longer be required to conduct a PCR test before departing from Jordan (or upon arrival at Jordanian airports, borders, or ports) or to conduct a PCR test upon arrival after a land border crossing.
According to JTB Chief, travelers will still be required to register for QR codes for border entry and entry into hotels, restaurants, and other public places to enter a declaration that they will conduct a COVID rapid test or PCR test if they experience any symptoms, and if they test positive, they must self-quarantine for five days.
